Happy Latte Drinkers! More points for Coffee!

In response to my blog on coffee protecting against liver fibrosis, BaconBoy informed me that in a study, "Lattes actually allow a chemical reaction to occur that enhances your calcium absorption thus resulting in higher calcium absorption than from milk." I was not able to find the study so I'm hoping that BaconBoy is able to find it and blog it. Although I did find at Indiadiet Foods a Calcium serving guide. The site reveals that Lattes provide about 400 milligram of calcium while milk provides 300 milligrams of calcium. Just some interesting drink for thought.

From my research(sorry, was gone for the 4th weekend, so just got to it now), I was not able to locate info on that study, but from what I gathered, it appears that what actually happens is that the chemical reaction creates more "absorbable calcium" than milk(hence why they fortify milk with Vitamin D). I also found articles alluding to the possible thoughts that milk was never meant to be naturally digested by the human digestive system which Hippocrates did alot of research on lactose intolerances.

No big deal Baconboy, I just appreciate all the great information you have given me giving me about COFFEE advantages. Thanks for the Hippocrates Research. Its no wonder so many people are lactose intolerant. Well, I'm overdue for my morning coffee. So, I'm running out for my calcium of the day.
